Refund and cancellation policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Please read this before you pay. It is part of our terms and conditions.
Cancelling before we submit your documents
If you ask us to cancel before we have submitted your documents to our DMC partner, we refund the fares and GST you paid. The payment processing fee, and any GST on it, is charged by our payment provider and is not refunded.
Cancelling after we submit your documents
Once your documents have been submitted to our DMC partner, the work has been done and fares are not refundable, except in the cases below.
Our delay promise: extra days because of us
- Delay caused by us. If your visa or confirmation comes later than we promised because of us or our team, and you have to stay longer in Hong Kong or Macau only because of that wait, we pay the extra costs of those extra days. This includes extra hotel nights, food, and other reasonable costs, including any extra booking you have to make for those days. We cover the extra days only, not your whole trip.
- Urgent processing. If you paid the urgent fee and we could not deliver in the time we promised, the same promise applies: we pay the extra costs you actually had because of the delay.
- If you had no extra cost. If we are late but you have not had to pay anything extra (for example, you are still at home in India), there is no refund of the fare or the urgent fee. The promise covers costs you actually had, not the service fee.
- How to claim. Call or WhatsApp us as soon as you know about the delay, and keep your bills and receipts. We will confirm the extra days and pay the documented costs.
- Not covered. Delays caused by incorrect or missing documents from the traveler, by the decisions of authorities, airlines or immigration officers, or by events outside our control. The visa itself is never guaranteed.
Mistakes in your visa
If there is any mistake in your visa, we get it corrected within 1 day of you telling us, free of cost. A change of entry or exit port is not covered and is charged separately. See section 6B of our terms.
When we refund in full
- We are unable to submit your application, or our DMC partner declines to take it, for a reason that is not caused by incorrect or missing information from you.
- You are charged more than once for the same application. We refund the extra payment.
When we do not refund
- Immigration officers, airlines or other carriers refuse boarding, entry or stay.
- Information or documents you give us are wrong, incomplete or not genuine.
- You miss your travel because of a delay or change on your side.
Changing dates or details
Tell us as early as possible. Before we submit your documents we can usually update your details at no cost. After submission a change may need a new application, and a new fee may apply, depending on our DMC partner.
How to ask for a refund or a change
Email support@144visa.com or use the contact page. Give your name, phone number and payment ID, and tell us what you need. We will reply on your phone number.
How long a refund takes
We start approved refunds within 7 working days of agreeing them. They go back to the original payment method, and your bank may take another 5 to 7 working days to show them.
