About us and the service
Is 144visa.com a registered business?
Yes. 144visa.com is a GST-registered business based in Delhi. Its registered name is M/S Mali Ram & Sons, and its GSTIN is 07AKUPA8697D1ZN. You can check the GSTIN on the GST portal. Our office is at A-94, Mayapuri Industrial Area, Phase 2, New Delhi, Delhi - 110064.
What does 144visa.com do?
We collect your trip details and documents, check them for completeness, and submit them to our authorized Chinese DMC (destination management company) partner, which arranges the 144-hour stay. We are a private service provider. We do not issue visas or decide entry.
Is India included in the 144-hour visa-free transit scheme?
No. India is not on China's list for the standard visa-free transit scheme. Indian travelers can still take the 144-hour route when the application goes through an authorized Chinese DMC, and that is the route we use.
How do Indian nationals get the 144-hour visa?
Through an authorized Chinese DMC. You send your documents to us, and we submit them to our DMC partner.
Is there a 240-hour option for Indian nationals?
No. We work with the 144-hour arrangement only.
What type of visa is it? Is it a business visa?
No. It is a tourist visa, meant for sightseeing and shopping. It does not allow business activity.
Cost, group size and processing
What does the 144-hour visa cost?
The fare depends on your entry and exit ports. See all fares on the home page. Fares are per traveler and shown before 18% GST. A small payment processing fee is added at checkout, and the total is shown before you pay.
What is the minimum group size?
2 travelers. There is no upper limit.
Are teenagers and children eligible?
Yes. Each child needs their own passport and their own documents in the application.
How long does processing take?
Normal processing takes 3 working days. Urgent processing takes 1 day and costs ₹3,000 extra per traveler, plus GST. The earliest entry date is tomorrow. If you enter tomorrow, the urgent fee is added automatically and your application is marked urgent for our team.
Can I change my dates or details after paying?
Tell us as soon as possible. What we can change depends on whether your documents have already been submitted. See the refund and cancellation policy.
Ports and route
What are the entry ports?
Macau and Hong Kong.
What are the exit ports?
Macau, Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
Can I enter through one port and leave through another?
Yes.
Do the ports operate 24 hours?
No. Plan your crossing between 8 am and 8 pm.
Is a Hong Kong PAR required?
Yes, if you enter or leave through Hong Kong. The PAR is Hong Kong's pre-arrival registration for Indian passport holders. We prepare it for you at no extra charge, or you can upload your own. If your route uses Macau only, you do not need it.
Who meets us at Hong Kong airport?
Nobody meets you at Hong Kong airport. Our guide meets you at Guangzhou airport and at the China immigration ports: Shenzhen Bay Port and Gongbei Port.
Will you guide us through Hong Kong immigration?
Yes. We will tell you what to expect and what to carry.
How do I get from Hong Kong airport to Shenzhen Bay Port?
By taxi or bus.
Who meets us at Shenzhen Bay Port?
Our guide meets you there and hands you your visa documents.
Your stay in China
Which cities are covered?
Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Dongguan, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan and Jiangmen.
Can I visit a city that is not on the list?
No. Stay within the covered cities.
Can I leave China after 2 or 3 days?
Yes. You can leave earlier than 144 hours, as long as the whole group leaves together.
Can one person leave earlier than the rest of the group?
No. The whole group can leave earlier together, but one traveler cannot leave on their own.
Can I enter China a second time on the 144-hour visa?
Yes, after spending at least 24 hours in another country or region, such as Bangkok, Macau or Hong Kong.
What if I want to visit Shanghai, Yiwu or Beijing?
These cities are outside the 144-hour area. You will need a regular Chinese visa, such as an L (tourist) or M (business) visa. That is a separate application.
What happens if I break the 144-hour rules?
The penalties are serious: a heavy fine, and possibly jail time and deportation.
Hotel
Is a hotel booking in China mandatory?
Yes. Upload one confirmed hotel booking for the whole group. It should show the hotel name, the travelers' names and your stay dates.
Can I change the hotel booking later?
No. Please finalise your hotel before you apply.
Will anyone visit my hotel to check?
It is not routine, but officials can check randomly. It is very unlikely. Stay at the hotel you have booked.
Documents
What do I upload for each traveler?
- Passport: one PDF with the front and back pages.
- Hotel booking in China: a photo or PDF.
- Hong Kong PAR: only if your route enters or leaves through Hong Kong. Upload yours, or ask us to make it.
Why must the passport be a PDF?
The front and back pages stay together in one file, so nothing gets lost along the way. On an iPhone, open the Notes app, choose Scan Documents, scan both pages and share the result as a PDF. On Android, open Google Drive, tap the plus button, choose Scan, scan both pages and save as PDF.
My files are too big
All documents together can be up to 20 MB. Use your phone's scan option or a PDF compressor, and avoid full-resolution photos.
Payment and after you pay
Which payment methods can I use?
Whatever Razorpay offers at checkout, which can include UPI, cards, net banking and wallets. The checkout shows our registered name, M/S Mali Ram & Sons.
Why is there a payment processing fee?
Razorpay charges a fee on every payment. We show it as a separate line so the fares stay exactly as listed.
Can I get a GST invoice?
Yes. Contact us with your payment ID and your GST details.
What happens after I pay?
Your documents reach our team as soon as your payment is confirmed. We check them, submit them to our DMC partner and update you on your phone number.
I paid, but the page showed an error
Keep the page open and tap Retry sending. If it still fails, contact us with your payment ID. Razorpay records your payment, and we will match it to your application.
How do I get a refund?
Read the refund and cancellation policy, then contact us with your payment ID.
Immigration and getting help
What if there is a mistake in my visa?
Tell us as soon as you notice it. We will get any mistake in your visa corrected within 1 day, free of cost. Changing your entry or exit port is not a correction and is charged separately. See section 6B of our terms.
What if my visa is delayed because of you?
If the delay is our fault and you have to stay longer in Hong Kong or Macau because of it, we pay the extra costs of those extra days: hotel, food and other reasonable costs, including any extra booking you must make. We do not cover your whole trip, only the extra days. If you paid the urgent fee and we could not deliver on time, the same promise applies. If you had no extra cost (for example you are still in India), there is no refund of the fee. Keep your bills and call us as soon as you know about the delay. See the full promise.
Can an immigration officer deny entry into China?
Yes. Immigration officers make the final decision at the border. Please read our terms.
What should I tell immigration officers?
Answer every question truthfully, and keep your documents ready: passport, hotel booking, tickets and Hong Kong PAR if your route uses Hong Kong. Our guide will explain what to expect before you cross.
Whom should I contact if I have an issue or a doubt?
Call one of our two contact persons: Umesh Agarwal on +91 92664 51451 or Bhavyam Agarwal on +91 95821 92147. Our support numbers and WhatsApp links are on the contact page.
